The group was founded by artists Artur "Art" and Batish, living in Kiev. The duo created a distinctive sound by combining various musical styles and rose to prominence in the techno and house music scene in the 2010s. Artbat achieved great international success with songs such as "Mandrake" and "Uplift". They have also performed at the world's biggest music events, notably DC10 and Amnesia nightclubs in Ibiza. As of 2021, Artbat works with labels such as Afterlife and Diynamic, which are among the world's most respected electronic music labels.
